Above you see a new version of the Tiger helicopter and a newly developed RWS for the Rosomak (Patria AMV) which is aimed at replacing the BMP-1.
Military Technology is doing a great job of covering this event and you can read about these platforms here and here.

Sneaky Airbus, very sneaky... even when contenders list in "Kruk" program is secret we can for sure say that are in it. SPIKE-ER missiles... they know this is main modern anti tank missile system in Polish army and put them on Tiger say, look, he can use them and you already use them... get it?
ReplyDeleteAnd Sol' you misunderstood text a little, I mean this part:
During MSPO 2014 a new remotely-controlled turret for ROSOMAK wheeled vehicles AND NEW TRACKED INFANTRY ARMORED VEHICLES (as a replacement for BMP-1s) was revealed.
Rosomak will not replace the BMP-1, the other vehicle will do that and they probably speak about "Anders" that I send you pic with Cockerill turret.
Helicopter photography is a Tiger HAD for the French army, for ALAT (Aviation Légère de l’Armée de Terre - French Army Light Aviation).
DeleteThe first country to request this version was Spain. This version was requested by the Spanish army for FAMET ( (Fuerzas Aeromóviles del Ejército de Tierra - Spanish Army Airmobile Force). Spain chose the SPIKE-ER missile to arm its helicopters while France chose the Hellfire missile. Australian Tiger ARH version uses the Hellfire.
So the Tiger HAD can use the Spike-ER and Hellfire missiles.
Yeah, and I bet they show this version in MSPO with Spike-ER for a reason. To contract for helos for Polish army is for max 40 machines. Now this is the market worth fighting for.
