My God! Is the Marine Corps actually practicing 1940's style beach defense???

Jesus! I hope to God this was just a fluff piece made for video. Artillery on the beach shooting out over the water? If the Chinese come I bet they wouldn't even waste their Marines trying to seize anything. A few of their ships would simply fire from over the horizon and destroy everything there! They won't have enough NMESIS around to help either. One or two shots maxed and they're located and destroyed. Force Design is batshit crazy. I can't believe USMC leadership is so bought into this concept.
