Eurosatory 2010 is going on now and I can't find a major organization that's covering the going on's there. The only people that appear to be making an effort is Defense Update and Army Recognition.
The photo below is taken from Army Recognition. Its suppose to be of a new Leopard 2A7.
Leopard 2 Peace Support Operations (PSO) variant, similar to M1A2 with Tank Urban Survival Kit (TUSK).
ReplyDeleteAs I said when i first saw the picture, it looks rather smaller than the previous variants. Perhaps the angle is responsible for this appearance.
ReplyDeleteBy the way Sol, today is US Army's birthday?
Don't say that too loud Alex; Sol is a marine, so he'll be the one buying the drinks for his army brothers, instead of just hanging back and enjoying "Fleet Week part II". :)
ReplyDeletethat's not a PSO variant.
ReplyDeleteSol,
ReplyDeleteJane's actually has a public news section for many of these events. The short but sweet daily news items are uploaded continuously throughout the exhibition day.

It is a M60A8 unless proven otherwise.
ReplyDeletenice one annonymous. but as far as the old M60 is concerned, i wonder if that wasn't a better bargain for the Marines than the new M1.
ReplyDeleteit was lighter, could provide fire support and if we needed to heavy up then we could borrow an Army Tank Battalion....
For me, it also looks smaller, but the dimensions are probably the same. In the wiki, they say that germany will upgrade 50 a6's to a7+'s in 2012... so... it should be the same size?
