PEO Soldier's Equipment Piece of the week.

  1. It looks like the Army is getting onboard with the same (or similar) ACOG that the USMC has been using, TA31RCO-M4/A4. Same recticle as well.

    I never understood why the Army was okay without a range estimate. Seems like that would have been a requirement!

    I wonder why they couldn't just adopt the existing USMC ACOGs?

  2. as usual we see eye to eye on this.

    we could save alot of money on stuff like this if everyone standardized but it seems that the Marines, Army and Special Ops all have to have unique and service specific kit.

    i'm all for it if the needs are unique but often its just to be different.

    oh and since Marine Corps specific items are usually more robust than the Army equivalent, then they should get more like us than vice versa.
