Time to dust off Galrahn's list of Amphibious Ops.


Galrahn of Information Dissemination wrote a piece for USNI Blog that detailed the amphibious operations that the Marine Corps has conducted since the 90's.

With so many actually taking the SecDef's threat seriously its time to take a look at this again.  Read it here and here.

  1. Galrahn is the "Go To Guy" for US naval matters, and he did a nice job listing amphib ops.

    But as you can see from the comments (not just on ID, but also elsewhere), there is still scepticism about the role of the USMC because it isn't "real" door-kicking, ie assaults under fire.

    A lot of folks still have the wrong idea of what expeditionary amphib ops really is.
