3rd LAR getting ready for Afghanistan deployment.

MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CENTER TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif.-Light armored vehicles with 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion push through to their next objective Sept. 2 during part of their Enhanced Mojave Viper.   1. Of course they will be kitted-up during their actual deployment, but it is kind of nice to see such 'clean' LAVs again. Remind me of the days when light armor was actually an asset and LAVs were used in their proper role as agile screening cavalry.
