CH-53K.



With ARES reporting that the CH-53K is finally taking shape, I thought a repeat of this vid was in order.  I can't wait to see its first flight.

  3. The X-2 was the unmanned UCAV concept.

    Really like that the K can carry Humvees internally. Probably not the V-hull variant, but still.

  4. i don't think that's right Marcase. the requirement is to be able to lift two armored legacy humvees externally. i believe the only internal carriage requirement is for the NATO standard palletized loads.

  6. Hey Sol, at 2:01 in the video you see a 'legacy' Humvee inside the CH-53K. Perhaps it's just to illustrate how wide the K will be.

  7. Something else, I kind of expected a radar suite similar to the CH-47F; at least a weather and terrain following/avoidance system would be nice.
