I'm not going to lie to you. I've always considered Police brother in arms. But the behavior of this group of SWAT officers has me re-evaluating that stance. Another problem that I'm having to face is that I've always looked at charges of Police Brutality as issues of criminals attempting to sully the name of the men that are out there to protect society. No more. This is honest to goodness crossing the line.
What makes it worse is the paramedics arrived within just a few minutes and were THEN kept away for over an hour by the SWAT team, while the soon to be widow listened to her dying husband's moans.

ReplyDeleteI'd contact the local detachment of the MCL. I see a lot of these happening with SWAT labeling now all War Vets as high danger suspects. It's a shame... Bet half them SWAT cops must had Military Background.

ReplyDeleteWhenever someone is lying about something, be they an individual or organization, a big tip-off is that they repeatedly change their story. The police department has changed their story - according to the defense - four times. This wreaks of a cover-up.

They say this Marine was running a home invasion ring, but then he had just gotten off of a graveyard shift. I guess I don't know many professional theives, but I never thought of them as gainfully employed.

There are cases all over the country that have me scratching my head. I can't understand why LE is adopting an "Us v Them" mentality. It will backfire and can't come at a worse time when a lot of departments are cutting.
