They are a nice helicopter and doing well on the operations they have undertaken so far.
Australia's Tiger ARH's are nearing IOC, the only remaining issue is getting the first squadron's worth of pilots fully trained on night vision devices and thus fully night capable. The machines themselves though are ready to go, combat wise.
Our Tiger capability is intended to be at IOC by December 2011 at the current time, which should be a useful enhancement to Army's capability.

What are those devices in front of the main landing gear? Skis?
ReplyDeleteyeah they are. i failed to post a pic of it landing on snow but thats what they are. aerodynamic skis.
