M Company, 42 Commando Royal Marines took part in an operation to clear the compounds used by the Taliban in Barikjo, Helmand Province Southern Afghanistan, in early 2007. This was part of Operation Volcano.

Great picture. I've always loved that the British still have a firm grasp of the bayonet and how its still has uses. Basra comes to mind when I see this picture.
