Operation Western Gambit clears insurgents in Now Zad

  1. Now i'm sure that some of those captions aren't quite right. The British were definitely present in force in Musa Qaleh, and definitely had been "seen" in Now Zad prior to the US handover. Not sure what was established in the way of FOBs but Musa Qaleh definitely had something.

    ...Seems like a repeat of the Para to Royal Marine handover in Helmand back in 2006-/2007 - Para's came in and decided it was necessary to hold ground and got overstretched, Marines decide to lose some ground to gain mobility and take the fight to the enemy, then eventually realise that they need to hold more of the ground and have to move back in. Only this time it was UK to US Marine forces.

    1. Grim, Now Zad is a district, which meens there is more than one area. Those villages had never been visited before. It is in the article
