I still don't get the Riverine mission set as it appears to be conducted today. I don't know if its SEAL Delivery Team lite, if its actually a Riverine force or if its a hybrid of something that is being left unsaid. What I do know is that they're at Bold Alligator.

This seems like the kind of force that would be deployed from the "mothership" concept like the USS Ponce. I can picture these boats going after Iranian fast boats, I'm just glad we're using the Combat Boat 90H, excellent choice!
ReplyDeleteno you use a AH-1Z or a MH-60 to kill a speedboat. i don't know what these guys are suppose to be doing. its a bunch of flash but they're not where they're needed....pirates? they should be hunting.
ReplyDeleteHonestly wonder why the corps doest have the riverine mission. During security partnership station -12 (sps-12) riverine was used with the Colombians for anti drug operations down the coast and rivers. They should be used to fight pirates and to aggressively take the fight up river denying their use
