Steve at the Firearms Blog has a write up on the new Walther Navy PPQ.
Go to his site read his write up but I was shocked at how nasty this gun looks. Not "Nasty" or "Filthy" in the good way...I mean nasty as in jacked up beyond recognition!
First thought was "How did Stever get a Walther mixed up with a Hi-Point?"
A closer look at the pics showed me that Steve had his trash packed tight...this is just one messed up looking sidearm.
I hope its virtually indestructable and shoots straight.
If you can't design a good looking gun at least make it extremely effective...besides not every gun maker can be expected to achieve "Glock Perfection".
I didn't buy the 'Navy'(my PPQ doesn't have the threaded barrel)but the PPQ is one sweet machine. After I held one at the BX gun shop a week ago, I immediately texted my brother to offer him a 'family deal' on my Dad's old S&W 659 to subsidize the move. After I decided I wanted it I went looking for more data. Check out Hickock45's videos. I did, and it just made me want it more, because it doesn't have the 'Glock' trigger pull (my biggest beef with the Glock).
ReplyDelete"Glock perfection"? ROFL!!! in the looks department they're about the most boring guns out there. Then there's the whole unsupported barrel problem, "Glock Leg", etc. The PPQ by all accounts is an excellent handgun. The only reason it's not on my short list (the threaded-barrel/night-sight 1st Edition in particular) is because Springfield's new XDS bumped it off.
ReplyDelete@SMSgt Mac: Hickok45's videos rock.
