On a sidenote I am still amazed that the US Army and Marine Corps are calling a carbine a rifle and complaining because they're not getting the performance of a rifle in that smaller package. Additionally with all the stuff being put on these carbines they're now as heavy as a full size rifle. You add a can to them and you have the length of a rifle too. Like I said. Amazing.

11th MEU. Is this rifle standard issue or Recon specific?

Off topic, but I look at this photo and think to myself, it is a sad, sad, day when a Sailor has shorter hair than a Marine. I guess I'm just old.
ReplyDeletewow. GREAT POINT!
ReplyDeletei know i harp on it but AMOS was not the guy the Corps needed.
I never had a High & Tight nor did 90% of my old unit. I used to wear my hair low pushing reg to the max and it had no bearing on how good I shot or did my job as an infantry man.
ReplyDeleteI think there are a lot of fucked up shit in the corps today. But those are at the Flag Officer Lvl who even with 10+ years of wars we don't have a Warrior (Besides Gen Mathis) to lead the Corps spiritually back to its Warrior Roots and off the Bullshit politically correct poster kids.
We need to go back to the MEU center of the Corps mentality we had when I was in. Lack of New Tracks, huge problem. A salty Sargent with a medium reg not so much
