Prometheus the review...

This movie sucked.

All that build up and it was a dud.  I never wanted a character to die so bad in my life but they kept that egotistical, arrogant, righter than thou Elizabeth Shaw alive.

The only cool part was the "engineers" but they gave no reason for their hostility toward humanity.  The new HUGE face hugger that takes out an engineer was cool but the battle could have lasted longer.

Anyway you can see the sequel coming.  The crazy android and Shaw are off to find the home planet of the creators.  That movie will probably suck too.  They really need some Colonial Marines for some shock and awe action against the 10 ft tall baddies.

But enough of that.  Don't waste your money and catch this on netflix.

  1. What I didn't get till now was the alien at the beginning. The reason for them wanting to kill us was because of a riff between the aliens themselves. One good, made us, the other evil that wanted us and the good aliens dead. My take anyway, maybe not as good as we'd like, however it was a good story.

  2. yeah you could be right but what kills me is that everyone wants to paint this as a search for our creators and in essence its a vanity play.

Wyland funds the expedition because he fears life's real equalizer. Death. we all die. no matter what our color, nationality, sex, race, WEALTH, poverty, station in life, importance to other etc...

we all die. instead of accepting that Wyland races off looking for the fountain of youth. Cherize had the line of the movie. a king reigns and then he dies. that is the natural order of things.

still i gotta disagree. this movie sucked so bad!

  3. Okay we'll agree to disagree than. I did love that line, and the way she looked up into his face, "Father", if looks could kill Wyland would have been there on the spot. Even though you don't like her, Shaw, is on the quest for the creators.

  4. No part of this movie even tried to make sense, starting with the first scene - why is there an alien priest committing suicide? That one alien surviving at the end who is woken up but was left in the Kryogenic freeze for over 2,000+ years is stupid and makes no sense. What is the purpose of the room with the giant human head and hundreds of cylinders containing zombie inducing biochemical warfare - It is way too accessible, has no safety oversight, and I wouldn't call it secure at all - the moment you touch them do they all start to ooze? Primitive humans have 1000X better security for their biochemical weapons on earth. Also the stacks of engineer bodies piled up that were killed by the biochemical weapon creatures aliens, where were they, by principal wouldn't they have created a mother and then a nest like the first Alien movie? No eggs anywhere. I noticed how the geologist and biologist were killed and infected by the biochemical weapon aliens but never showed up as zombies like the other guy who came back and raised hell on the ship, they just disappeared. No consistency. No Explanation. The whole movie was a mess and sucked. I didn't even get to see Shaws tits.

  6. They will create a sequel, we will pay more money to see it with the expectations that our questions will be answered. We will take their bait because we are good minions who get scammed easily and will be further stupefied. They win, we lose.
