i'm still looking at the USAF simply scaling this up and re-engining it to get their UCAV solution...if the Navy follows through on the program that is. of course the USAF will be forced to use the P-8 platform for AWACS and JSTARS replacement but thats the joint procurement world ya live in.
i personally love this plane for the USN and USAF, it improves on the idea of the F35 where common platform makes supply chain easier. Its already proving to be quite capable an seems to be relatively free of the procurement difficulties of other platforms. i am not saying those problems are justified and i know theres alot of politics in that but i would love to see the USAF dump their next generation bomber program and have a fleet of scaled up X47s.
