And it begins. After attack spin from the Pentagon.

That was weak sauce.

Real weak.

When I'm expecting someone from the SecDef's or Commandant's or ISAF's office to tell me how we're hunting down every member of this terrorist cell and arranging a meeting between them and their maker, we get this nonsense.

Consider me unimpressed, depressed and wishing for better.

  1. Major question from me is how did they get hold of US uniforms?
Having been there I know I'd think twice about firing on a patrol in US uniform .

Once inside the wire it wouldnt take a well trained team long to fire off enough RPGs to damage enough aircraft to create embarrassment and stories of a Tet style offensive in the press.

In a way its lucky they didnt hit a full loaded troop transport. Image the stories if they had hit a C-17 or Herc!

  2. Least he recognises its a war though, not a peacekeeping Op or nation building programme

  3. During WW2, they shot Germans that were captured in American uniforms. Will we give the one Taliban attacker that was captured a quick and speedy trial, and then put him in front of a firing squad?
