to me its another name for government intrusion and spying. you ever wonder if the US govt. is so concerned with homeland security then why do we have FBI, and DEA agents overseas? why the Coast Guard operates so far from home? Why we have customs and border security operating far from our shores?
not sure what you are concerned about with regards to intrusion and spying, the supreme court has limited the ability of government in many cases the last few years and these platforms are nothing different than cameras on the street or police helos. also since 9/11 politicians have been arguing about which party can keep them safer so homeland security buys votes.
