UFC 154.

Damn.  I hate this.  I was glued to the TV watching LSU barely survive Ole Miss and then it was out to a sports bar to catch Oregon fall and to take joy in watching Baylor kick the dog shit out of Kansas.

While I was doing all that, drinking Coors Light and killing a specialty 3 pound hamburger, UFC 154 was going on.  This morning I hit the MMA Blogs and ESPN and WHOA!  St. Pierre got lucky.  He DID look like he got hit by a mack truck.  If he's smart he'll decline the fight against Silva.  Even at a catch weight he's gonna be out muscled and out sized.  Not a good combination against probably the best fighter in the world.

One other thing.  I got some pics from the fight below, and I finally see the thing that has the fight and weight lifting community whispering.  I don't know the scientific name but its called gyno in gyms.  It usually comes from hit D-Bol/Testabol/Primobal/Sustanobal  too hard or to end your use without using an estrogen blocker so that your bodies test production can get balanced.  When you're juicing you're supplementing the bodies natural testerone production so when you cycle off you have to get it back.  That's where the estrogen blocker comes in.  If you don't then it'll keep pumping at a slightly elevated rate which gives you gyno.

St. Pierre has the classic puffy nipple look of someone with gyno.  I hadn't seen any pics but I always defended him because he such a workout animal.  Now?  I just don't know. But the fight was brutal.  I'm going find a copy.  Enjoy the pics.

  1. It was awesome watching the Ducks blow it. I'm a Beav - the animal - so it's always nice to see the Duck fans get knocked down a peg or two.

K-State always seems to be overrated. Hopefully USC beats ND next week so the universe rights itself.

GPS looks like a Darth Vader without his helmet.

  2. hmmm. i was bummed about Oregon. i'm not a real fan but they're fun to watch. don't they still have to plaay Oregon St? that should be a good game. K-state was a joke. just like Notre Dame they haven't played anyone and when they went up against a down yeah Baylor they crumbled like bad china.

USC should have ND easy but their QB is out with a separated shoulder. i hate both teams but i hate ND more. i can't lie. if LSU can't win the national championship then the next best thing is for the SEC to win it.

GPS is on the juice. and even with that edge he still got hammered. i want to know how he's masking it. but then again maybe he isn't ... half the UFC is on testerone treatment cause the sauce is so widespread in the game and half the guys abused it so bad that by the time they're 30, there body is making less testerone than a fat girl.

  3. Yep, Civil War game is next weekend. I think OSU will win becuase of the Stanford loss and the let down that will follow. Besides, OSU has a good defense and is not a bad team. OSU was up by 9 on Stanford the week before and blew it out their ass.

It will be juice that destroys the MMA sport before the PC crowd does.

    1. i thinik he's thinking retirement. i have never seen him (like you said) get his ass beat like that. i got ahold of the vid. HE GOT ROCKED! that kick to the head had him seeing stars and at the press conference he was holding an ice bag on the area where he was kicked in the head. not over those black eyes. not on all those cuts and scraps on his head or arms but on the spot where he got popped.

i know one thing. he better not try and get bigger to fight Silva. he'll slow down and Silva will take him apart. correction. i think Silva would either knock him out or submit him. he's done in the fight game but we've seen it before..too many times. the worse case was BJ Penn. reputation ruined cause he didn't know when to quit. if St Pierre is smart this was his final fight.

  5. Funny but I watched the whole fight and thought GSP dominated 90% of it and took down Condit at will. Credit Condit for never quitting, fighting well off his back (where he was most of the fight), and getting in some good shots including that one head kick.

GSP should not consider fighting Silva, who's very comfortable fighting at 205. Even at a catch weight I personally don't think it's a fair fight. If they want a super fight I suggest Silva vs Jones.

  6. Condit's only real moment in the fight was that kick he landed. Otherwise it was a typical GSP fight: he took Condit down at will and worked the ground and pound. He did seem a bit more aggressive this time out though.

As much as I'd like to see them, I don't think any of the superfights are going to happen. Both guys have too much to lose. A. Silva is already considered the best ever. What good does it do him to fight a guy that's more than 10 years younger and is significantly bigger?

Regarding St. Pierre, the way he handled Condit after being out for a year makes me think he's getting better instead of worse. If his next fight is at 170 then he should fight Johnny Hendricks. Hendricks has huge power in his hands and has the wrestling pedigree to (hopefully) avoid the takedown.

That LSU game was closer than it should have been but was enjoyable. I really like Les' post game comments.

  7. Watch the fight. GSP dominated the entire thing. Condit landed a kick in the third, but it was a lucky shot (check out the slo-mo; Condit isn't even looking at GSP when he throws it much less aiming). He caught GSP napping and wasn't able to seal the deal even after he was given that lucky gift. As for the steroids, just about every professional athlete is on them so I've no doubt GSP is as well. NFL, Olympics, Strongman; you name it. Sad, but it's what we, the audience, demand.

  8. Patrick and Skipper. I only saw the highlights of the fight. No one seems to have recorded it...everyone I know was watching football. That's another thing that UFC has to get better, scheduling! But I'll try and get the whole thing.
