Craziest multiple launch rocket system ever...

Seen at IDEX via Pakistan Defense Forum...

Yeah.  A flatbed truck (I think its Oshkosh too) loaded down with a quad pack of rockets.  Interesting.

  1. Doesn't look very mobile, only good for defending homeland rather than offensive. Anyone know what caliber? Maybe 127mm?

  4. "HOLY TOLEDO!" There comes that point in every military organization when sheer numbers of missiles out strips the Units ability to fire, maneuver to secondary pos/firing point per the number of vehicles and launch modules.
More missiles, launch modules fewer trucks/targets to hit. This is a weapon that signals the military does NOT believe nor intend for the launch vehicles to survive after their initial launch before they can fire their basic load and re-arm hence firing a basic load and a half from one launch because the Pakistani's know they won't get a chance to shoot again.
India most likely has spy birds and even satellite access to back track the missiles to launch point and return massive fire back maybe even drone attacks while in pursuit of the scurrying Launchers. Sitting in one place and re-armming three launch Modules is suicide.

  5. I'm not sure how practical it is but I wouldn't call it crazy. They replaced 30 men and 6 vehicles in a rocket battery with 3 men in 1 vehicle.

  6. It seems they have well developed high quality road network to be able effectively deploy this contraption...
