If you're like me and you choose to carry a handgun that goes bang every time you pull the trigger, doesn't have the worst features of the 1911 (for all you M&P fan boys) and can take punishment like none other then you're more than likely a Glock guy like me.
Well Glock is getting on the social networking thing and opening its doors to the first 20,000 "early registers"....check them out here...
I carry my 23 daily in a Raven Concealment VG2 holster. Just bought my lady a 27 for valentines day. Thanks for the heads up, Sir.
ReplyDeleteoooohhhhh!...nice setup. i love my 26 but i'm thinking seriously of breaking my standardization model and moving up in caliber to the 23.
DeleteIt's a Gen 4 with Trijicon night sights. Love the .40, excellent caliber. I carried the 27 myself for a long time but I have larger hands so I went with the 23 and the size is perfect while still concealing well, especially in the VG2. I usually appendix carry with it.
DeleteI've got myself a Glock G22 Gen 4 and a Springfield 1911 range officer. Love both guns, but they're both kinda too bulky to easily conceal and I've been looking for something more compact. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteSpringfield XD-S, single stack carry models are pretty nice, also S&W M&P Shield is a nice sub, but you can't go wrong with a Glock 26 or 27, I suggest you add the grip extension to the mag.
Deletehmmm forgot about the XD-S'. never handled it but i hear good things. i use the adapter for the G19 mags in my 26. i worry about 10 rounds not being enough...especially since gobblins run in packs these days.
DeleteWalther PPS is a great new single stack 9mm, or the Beretta Nano. The wife wanted a gun and to get her CHL. The Walther PPS is only 0.9in wide, but still weighs about the same as the G26 so it is very controllable.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'll check it out! You're not the first person to suggest it so that gun is definately on my short list right now.
DeleteElements of Power blog likes his PPQ and I can't lie, the ergonomics of Walthers are plain awesome but I like a gun that i can repair myself...and having parts plentiful so that kinda rules out the Walther. i've looked at the Beretta Nano but i'm hearing too many bad things about Beretta quality control lately.
Deletei have to recommend the ole G26. you can't beat the small size and reliability, plus your wife can carry a full size G19 reload in her purse in case their are more zombies than 10 rounds can take care of.
Try the PPS. the trigger has 0 over travel. I would say you can find most of its parts on the bigger online sites. The mags are expensive. I want my wife to try IDPA and she will need 2 extra mags at $40 to $50 a pop min to complete the long stages. It doesn't meet your 10 rounds, but you can carry an extra mag easy.
