The gun debate that we're having now will soon turn toward authorities (especially in the big cities) trying to convince their citizens that Police can do what they have no responsibility to do...to protect you.

I have been saying for a long time now the West will fight WW3 on its own streets and on its own borders. I detect a growing impatience with many who I speak with what they see as our elites' disregard for our civilisation. The People can only be pushed so far.
ReplyDeleteThere is a reason DARPA is fascinated with social media. DARPA funded a contest a few years ago that had people find red balloons that were released. The participants had to use only social media to attempt to search and report.
ReplyDeleteThere is a monthly gathering of bicyclists in Minneapolis called Critical Mass to advocate biking awareness and safety on the roads. The word goes out via social media, typically when a bicyclist has been killed in a traffic accident, as the bicyclists gather at a starting point and they just ride whereever they want. They congregate in the dozens and sometimes hundreds and just start biking down streets. The police start getting reports from angry motorists and start to track them, then start to interrupt and arrest bicyclists for whatever b.s. they have.
It freaks the Minneapolis Police out. They view it as being some sort of anarchic movement, but it underscores how really scared the authorities are when they cannot predict or control people's actions considering it's just bicyclists without any motive than getting motorists to be aware of cyclists.
but you can see how it would freak out the authorities if it were impromptu political rallies or some form of direct actions or even violence.
this is just another example of how powerless law enforcement really is and you're right. it scares the shit out of them and should be a wake up call for every American. but some people would rather remain asleep.
