If nothing else it's more humane than aiming for the heart, missing, having to walk up to it and give it another shot to finally put it down.
Also, thanks to cameras being everywhere now, including the conflicts in the Middle East, I can tell you that that deer's head explodes in exactly the same way a middle eastern guy's head explodes.

if it was some Hadji terrorist i would found this a whole lot more enjoyable, and not to mention it did not have a rack worth mounting anyway.
