The JCS is playing ball with the Congress on this but they better step up and explain the facts of life real quick.
If they take away the authority of the Commanding Officer to make judgments on issues like this then its chaos in the military.
What the Congress should do is to overhaul the promotion system. Put people in place that are capable of handling the responsibility that goes with command.
The JCS knows this but they appear too afraid to mount a proper defense or better stated to offer proper counsel.
My thought on this were: If you take away authority from the convening authority, you'll se a lot fewer cases referred to court-martial.
ReplyDeletethats another good point. i didn't consider that. the real issue is that you're mixing male and female hormones in young athletic bodies and all the feminist are ignoring biological reality. to be quite honest the only real answer is to enforce an almost puritanical code. no hand holding in uniform, no displays of affection in uniform the whole nine yards. and one other thing that appears popular, no posing semi=nude in uniform. i really wonder how bad the situation is and how many times we're seeing someone push for a VA claim. the lack of pushback from the JCS was disturbing though.
