Why gun control will never work.

Crazy people (no I won't be politically correct) are highly motivated people.

Highly motivated people are tough to beat.  They don't have an "off" switch and will push through when others would quit.

Laws, restrictions and "rule making" by government officials will never beat a determined, highly motivated individual.

That's why gun control will never work....

Sidenote:  Read about Charles Whitman here.  Its really fascinating.  He had a brain tumor.  Drugs, damaged brains...its obvious that something biological or chemical or both is pushing people over the edge.  You can regulate the drug part but you won't be able to stop it as long as people want it.  Mass murderers will always exist as long as mankind exists.

  1. In every case of mass shootings now blame is placed on guns, and not on the errors of the system which didn't cared about people with social and psychological problems, often heightened with health problems.

Take for example the Lanza, there was one more victim there -- Adam Lanza himself. School officials knew he has psychological problems -- why he didn't received psychologist help? Not a forced psychiatric screening, but help? There was much time before the incident to help him integrating into society, to show that there exist people who care about him and help him stop looking on everyone like on enemies/"aliens".

Police was aware about guns presence in the Adam Lanza home, if police had information about person who have social integration and psychological problems and availabily of weapons in this person house, they could have visited his mother and just have a talk about importance of keeping weapons at home out of reach of the children. Not impose orders or something, just to show that there is people who care about safety of the other people, yourself included. This could have been enough to provide a motivation to make better secure storage place for weapons and to provide more care for her son.

And what if he had just a six round revolver? 20 victims is a disaster and 6 just an acceptable losses? Or 1 or 3 victims killed with knife or baseball bat also would be acceptable losses? Limiting or removing guns ownership could possibly reduce number of victims per homicide insident but not the total number of homicide incidents, unlike providing more care and psychological help for people with psychological and social integration problems especially at schools.

    1. extremely well said. but the issue isn't about solving problems its about extending control. its about the nanny state. its about eradicating anything that has any masculine historical attachment to masculinity from society at any costs. group punishment instead of focusing on the evil doers? yeah. thats how they do business, but again. you said it much better than i ever could.
