Foodie Friday.

I'm on day eight of a strict No Carb Diet.  Trust me.  I want carbs so bad I can't see straight.  I'm talking about an endless stack of pancakes...a burger with patties stacked to the ceiling...yeah....I'm hurting.  So what do I see on BuzzFeed?  The following.  Go there to see the whole list...

  2. i know it seems tough right now but it does get much easier. I am not saying that the cravings do not go away, that is a pipe-dream. BUT the implications of forcing yourself to eat more veggies and fruits as your source of carbohydrates is a much healthier alternative. If I may be so bold as to recommend a book, this is what i am currently doing. Though is sounds insane at first it is actually much easier to stick to than the conventional "diet" or quick fix. Take the change as a challenge, not as a restriction. Rather than saying "I cant have carbs (or beer, candy, love, puppies, or all around sense of happiness)" trying telling yourself "I choose not to/ I choose to" this will help you stick to it. Lastly, take a day to yourself, there is a lot of science that much smarter people than me can expand on that proves a "Cheat Day" (i.e. weekly birthday binge-fest) actually helps you stick to a lifestyle change for a longer period of time, for reasons such as, oh i dont know sanity. Which brings me back to my recommended book: "Engineering the Alpha: Man 2.0" its a pretty good read. Good Luck and God Speed!

  3. Bejeebus Sol! I'm dieting for a fatty liver and eating an apple and you show me real food pictures!

    1. yeah i'm doing a whole makeover. i used to be a get big or die guy...the kind of person that would spend all day in the gym. now i'm switching to bodyweight exercise and trying to shed...shed and shred!
