 Did you notice a few things in the vid?  OTOKAR is definitely a player in the industry now...touch screens, blast seats, a world class remote weapons system that matches the best on the market.  I'm impressed.

    wow, the Turks are really investing in a home grown defense industry. They are now making their own APCs, IFVs, tanks, corvettes and self-propelled artillery. They will soon be making their own UAVs and frigates.

      yeah and that should scare the daylights out of Europe. i don't expect, nor do i think that Turkey will go rogue or anything like that, what i'm talking about is that with defense spending going down in those countries its starting to look like defense innovation is coming from the Turks...that's not good.

      Lets see Turkey borders on 2 active warzones(Syria,Iraq ),a couple of potential warzones (Iran ,Armenia) ,still war torn countries (Georgia,Cyprus) ,has an active insurgency(Kurdistan) so you could expect a lively defense industry.

      Turkey already developed "Vestel Karayel" and "TAI ANKA" both of them are in the MALE category.

      What will surprise you more is Turkey already began developing indigenous fighter jet. "TF/X"

    Can carry 8 soldiers with a three man crew and I'm sure they could squeeze another in there. Army can make a GCV about this size and successfully carry a full 9 man squad.
