Satellites with digital cameras instead of film replaced the Habus . They fly 6 times faster and carry much larger optics that don't have to cut through the extremely hot air distortion just outside the windows. Just like tanks, UAVs and helicopters replaced blindingly fast cavalry horses.
I still miss both, thought I'm glad I do not have to clean up after them. I just saw an SR-71 at a nearby aviation museum. Awesome. All done with slide rules. Hey, those got replaced, too.
Compared to it's Century Series brethren the Blackbird looks otherworldly. Like it came back from the future or something.
