He wasn't arrested for filming them. He was driving around the area blasting music. He was ordered to turn it down. He then parked the car, left the music on and windows down and started filming the cops while yelling stupid shit at them like "Why aint there no black cops?".

The local news covered the story. The music is coming from the car and you can hear that by how it changes when he opens the door. He was also yelling stupid shit at the cops which i think was the final straw.

@Check Your Sources you better Check Your Sources, this cops same one shot and also killed a mentally disabled person. Officer Vasquez who shot the dog, has a lengthy history. Now you might want to ask yourself why has this Officer Vasquer never been fired with a rap-sheet longer then more carer criminals. What kind of "mental disability" remember that term is used liberally and does not mean what it once did. Remember the officer is in California where the officers are guilty until proven innocent.
Any dolt with power that thinks they exist in some protected class where they can't be filmed in public is a dolt that shouldn't be trusted with that power.
They were sloppy, didn't have the guy secure his dog and now they have a public relations nightmare.
During the recent 2A Crisis many pro-gunners made the good point that police aren't the first responders to emergencies, it is you yourself. The police turn up to clear up. The more I see of US police the more I think really they need to skip doing that as well and just stay at the station or donut shop. :)
Can not speculate if the officers did tell him to turn his music down then arrested him for the same, but the dog shooting was justified as long as the arrest is. You do not let arrested man secure the dog, because you don't know if he will release the dog on the officers. If he does and someone innocent is hurt because they let him get to the car then its their fault. DOGS ARE LOWER THAN HUMANS..... The dog was doing his job and reacting to his owners stress level, but he doesn't have a say in what happens. Owner should of had more control over his dog by being able to verbally tell his dog to stop. People do not put effort into training dogs and he died due to his owner not training him.
@TRT no they won't they will do whatever is necessary to protect their handler. It seems you must have had a bad incident with the police or think they wronged you or someone you know personally.
Forgot the 3rd officer was not there for the initial arrest so he would be covered shooting the dog under good faith the first two officers had a reason to arrest the man.
