What I am thinking is an unstealthy version of the F/A-22 without all the stealth gear. The stealthy version stays in the US, but the unstealthy version would be similar to the PAK FA T-50. It would incorporate all the low cost RCS reduction measures without the expensive RAM. The RAM would stay in the US.
Low observability is far more than just the application of RAM. Exporting a version of the F-22 without RAM would still let loose many things the US doesn't wish to see in the wild.
How can we build an export version of the F-22 without all the technology and stealth features into the F-22. What would an export version of the F-22 would look like.
Makes us wish we revived the F-22 and made it without the expensive technology.
ReplyDeleteAn F-22 without expensive technology wouldn't be an F-22.
Deletewhat about a F-22 with the tech but made of metal?
DeleteBy that, do you mean without RAM, and other RCS external RCS reduction measures?
DeleteYou are describing an F-15...

Deletethat picture is phenomenal, if that's art, i can't believe it!!!!
Deleteif you told me it was an actual chinese carrier aviation plane i'd believe it.

DeleteThats a simple question to answer. You can't build an F-22 without stealth and the technology.
DeleteIt would look exactly like it does now. Nonexistent.
Sure haven't heard/seen a lot since that first flight....
