Scoring for female pullups is out. UPDATE. Male chart is posted for comparison sake.

According to ALMAR 046/12 the new scoring standard will be as follows:
8 pull-ups – 100 points
7 pull-ups – 95 points
6 pull-ups – 85 points
5 pull-ups – 75 points
4 pull-ups – 65 points
3 pull-ups – 40 points
They can try and dress it up all they want but the fact remains.  If they don't meet the same standards then its preferential treatment.

There is no equal rights association on the battlefield.  No female rights advocate.   If you're weak you get trampled.  "Nuff said.

Note:  Below you see the old standard.  I say old because the flex arm hang for females is dead, but it remains the same for males...make note of the issue here.  If a male performs the minimum number of pullups he is credited for 15 points  and will be hounded, degraded and punished for the effort.  He can basically kiss promotion goodbye and for all the talk of a kinder gentler Marine Corps he will be PT'ed at least twice a day, his life will be a living hell and he'll pray for the next PFT.  I've even seen guys request mast to ask for the chance to take the PFT again just so the pain can stop.

  1. I had some great females integrated as an "on mission" need in Iraq and they performed superbly. That being said, when I took my guys on a long range recon of some suspected border crossing points on foot and had to over watch them for a week, didn't even cross my mind to hook up a female with a 100lb pack and have her hump 20k and sit in a hold for a week next to 4 sweaty men who pissed and crapped into MRE bags. When it comes down to it, they cannot keep up or match us in muscle or the ability to carry mission essential equipment like the men do.

    1. you said it diplomatically (let me guess, you're one of the new area experts i've been hearing about) but we arrived at the same destination. this is not going to work, and when they break and they will break because guys break, its going to cost the government more than they can imagine.

  2. Can you publish the male standards next to the female for comparison? I was in the Army and I told everybody that bullets are not gendered normed.

  3. What's the time limit for crunches? When I was ROTC nazi they only gave us like 60 seconds or something?

    1. 2min.

undercover fact? this chart is bullshit. every unit i was in established there own standards for passing. old skool 1/7...you score a 2nd class pft and you're on remedial.

  4. I do not agree with this, when they took the "kip" in 97' they gave us 6 months (maybe off?) to adjust and we did, through hours of pt. Yes women have less upper body strength then men, but they also have less bone density which makes them lighter. When i went to Parris Island in 94' i could only complete 5 pull-ups, but when I left I maxed out at 32. I say this because your results are always a direct reflection of your effort, or lack of.

    Females Males

    8 20 pull-ups – 100 points
    7 19 pull-ups – 95 points
    6 17 pull-ups – 85 points
    5 15 pull-ups – 75 points
    4 13 pull-ups – 65 points
    3 08 pull-ups – 40 points

This is similar to affirmative action, and the Corps is doing the Females a dis-service by holding them to a lower standard. Moreover, because our leadership is pandering to the unmotivated women how should have joined another branch and you are weakening the corps and insulting our sisters. The Mariner Corps doesn't lower its standards so that everyone can participate, we raise the bar and encourage others to follow our example, this disgust me. BTW, i got out of the corps in 98' still work out 5-6 days a week and I can still bust out 15 dead hang pull ups, its all in the effort. Semper Fi!

    1. oh you're so right.

i might be a knuckle dragging neanderthal but consider this.

Male Marines are now on guard around females because of the new sexual harrassment rules. i was always told to never even talk to them and now you sneeze wrong or they're on the rag and it could be a career ender. now add this pft issue to the mix.

do you think they're doing female Marines a service with all this? talk about a hated species inside the Corps that will be avoided by the seasoned Marines! this is gonna be fun to watch!

  5. Totally fucked. that's all there is to it.

If they want to be graded out the same, they need to perform at the same levels.

Are they going to create female-only rucks and weight allowances? A man can carry a 50kilo ruck, but women can only carry 30kilo rucks?

Are you going to say female mortar crewman only have to carry half as many mortar rounds? Do two females get to carry the baseplate instead of one male?

Would a female tank crewman get twice as much time to re-load a 120mm main gun because she's weaker?

    Total fucking bullshit.

  6. No the men will just end up carry the extra load, like normal, with the side benefit that it will slow us down enough for them to keep up!

  7. women are now being moved into combat units. i can't explain it but this is like the final straw. the Corps has changed in my view and its no longer something special. its just another federal organization that has pretty little mottos that don't mean shit.

i'll focus on armor, and other defense related items but quite honestly its no longer a source of pride to hold the title. they're giving it away now.
