4th Combat Aviation Brigade conducting training.

Note:  Does anyone remember the "netfires" concept?  Couldn't help but remember the promise of that project when I saw the shipping container.

  1. Just read that US can handover few latest war machines, used in Afganistan, to Pakistan...you keep arming em and you can never get the honest support of India as all these Amram and Rocket launchers gonna end of commissioned at India's border rather than Afgan border...US always does this...dunno what they are upto...even Osama issue failed to open ur eyes...Sad! :(

  2. It's interesting that we couldn't put NLOS into service when Israel has supposedly had a similar system in service since the 1980's- Spike NLOS or Tamuz. Granted the seeker probably isn't as good and the Spike has a shorter range but it almost makes you wonder if Rafael had a contract how much it would cost them to develop a longer range version, if they don't already have one?

  3. Rafael has the Spike NLOS and IAI has the Jumper system which is a 3x3 container with a range of 50km.

Remember that old saying, "Don't let the perfect stand in the way of the good"

I can't believe Raytheon/Lockheed Martin, etc. are so inept, they can re-invent E-FOGM or use the Israeli systems as a basis for their own. Scratch that, I can believe they are that inept.

  4. The lack of an IR seeker on the Jumper really doesn't make it comparable to the PAM missile on NLOS or the Spike family. Jumper is GPS and laser guided only and without the IR seeker you can't see the missile in to the target and all the benefits that implies.
