ReplyDeleteHowever, if we JUST cancelled the F-35, the USMC would INSTANTLY have the cash for this, the ACV, 250,000+ Marines, new Harriers (which of course need a production line restart), M! upgrades, ect. Who gives a shit about things like "SAMs" and integrated air defense systems. They are overrated anyway. The Super Hornet just needs a VSTOL variant and the USMC would be all set to take on the PAK-FA and the J-20......
Also, the Super AV looks like a rollover accident waiting to happen.

Deletelook, the USMC isn't going to be taking on any power with an integrates air defense system or Pak-Fa or SAMs, that's the Navy's and USAF's job.
the USMC is supposed to support USMC infantry by providing local air superiority and CAS.
I was allways a big fan of the Havoc,but i have to admit that this thing really swims well...you have a winner in the IVECO Solomon...
