  1. They better not put that in world of tanks. The German line would become extremely unfair...

    1. Super Arty would rape it. Would make a fine shield though.

  2. Stupid Nazis. "We can't build enough tanks because ours are too complex to successfully mass-produce, so we'll build something even more complex and unusable."

that would have been the land-going F35 of WWII.

For the amount of material, they could produced enough Panthers for a division

  3. The US attempted to make something like this (larger I believe) during the cold war. The idea was for it to be nuclear powered, penetrate the USSR during winter from alaska and shoot nuclear artillery shells at enemy cities. Then missiles and whatnot advanced alot making it not such a smart idea. I believe the movers for the space shuttle were to serve as the base. Quiet cool eh.

  4. The KV-V1 was the Russian version of this. The Soviets called it a "land battleship." Their version was longer and had enlarged turrets of both the KV-1 and the KV-2 tanks: http://vonbrrr.deviantart.com/art/Russian-Land-Battleship-KV-VI-178980591

    1. I think you may be thinking of the T-35, with its multiple turrets. The KV-1 was a more typical heavy tank

  5. Something like this couldn't really be built. But the Germans actually did build the Maus:

188 metric tons. Main gun was 128 mm. Armor was as much as 460 mm thick. Only one was completed, and it's in a museum now.
