Parking Nazi via BlackFive.

How much of an asshole do you have to be to ticket a US Army Helicopter that is providing support/rescue services to your state?

"It's a joke, there's no court date on the bottom of the ticket and no section codes for the violations.

    1. It appears from the form that this is a "penalty assessment notice" and not a "summons and complaint." People (and armies) don't normally go to court for a parking ticket. At 9,000 a month they've have to build a new courthouse in Boulder.

    2. Not sure how it is in Boulder, but here in California I have seen numerous tickets dismissed due to lack of, missing, or illegible code violation numbers.

Since this ticket has only words describing the violation, it likely would not be valid here.

    3. The original Reddit post was just updated with this:

[edit] It has been confirmed that it was a joke by the officer, which we can all agree was pretty obvious, but I think I said elsewhere here and it bears repeating: I hate misinformation and did not want to state a claim I did not know 100% to be true, so left the option open.]

  2. Boulder's goal: 9,000 parking tickets a month
    --May 3, 2010
Boulder parking-enforcement officers have a new directive: Each write an average of 900 tickets a month.

Kurt Matthews, director of Boulder's Parking Services division, said the city's 10 parking-enforcement officers were told earlier this year to meet the new goal -- which is equal to writing about 45 tickets a day, or one ticket every 11 minutes, based on a regular work week.

  4. Force Marching in the rain around Vieques PR I came up on an M-48 Marine tank with an M-151 MP blue lights flashing jeep and the MP was standing with one foot propped up on a section of track writing the complaining and gesticulating TC a ticket for traveling too fast past dismounted and force marching troops.
I found that both a comfort and ludicrous.
