Barbarity from the past (safe for work, not safe for the sensitive).

Australian Sergeant Leonard G. Siffleet of M Special Unit about to be beheaded by Japanese officer Yasuno Chikao, Aitape, New Guinea, 24 Oct 1943

The greatest generation indeed.  We're not worthy to empty their bed pans.

  1. And the worry is that you might see something similar again in the future, with history deniers in power who bow down to the name plate of Yasuno Chikao as a defending god of Japan at Yasukuni.

Australians in the meanwhile have forgetten all about Seageant Siffleet and has officially blessed the rearmment of Japan in the name of the China containment, so Seageant Siffleet's death was in vein.
