Pretty white girl stripped searched and it's national news. I'm sure it happens a hundred times every day but the suspects aren't pretty white girls so nobody gives a shit.
dude! black, white, green, yellow, brown, orange...i don't care...but that's somebody's wife, sister, daughter etc...i know thoughts like guys shouldn't be pawing a woman no matter what the situation (and their was a female deputy available) is probably just the old way of thinking...but it still irks me.
so please. spare me the song. if you know why its acceptable or justified i'd love to know.
Didn't say it was. It's deplorable if done to anybody, but it has traction as a story because it's a pretty white girl. If it was some 20 something frat boy or a homeless guy, nobody would care.
With the caveat that the limited video will not show EVERYTHING, so maybe there is an explanation, I'll say that you'd be real hard pressed to justify that at my PD. We have an internal policy against strip searching. I've gone the length of obtaining a body cavity search warrant to retrieve evidence from a female prisoner, but we took her to the emergency room and had a doctor do it. This is real bad, and appears to be uncalled for. Bad Bad Bad....
