We've talked about it for ages here on SNAFU! but this is the first time we're seeing it play out.
Personally, the bad guys tactics are pretty good...except he didn't press his attack. If he did then the LEO would be dead. The LEO should have had gun out as soon as the guy refused to comply.
Is this a situation where political correctness is causing hesitation on the part of LEOs?
I would say yes.
I would also say fuck political correctness if you want another sunrise.

ReplyDeleteYou can not see the Trooper so how do you know he did not have his gun out - maybe at a low ready. I believe the Trooper fired first - at least that is what it looks like from the video. I could be mistaken. I know many of Troops that work that stretch of road on I-84 and being PC is not an issue. Ass wipe took a shot to the chest during the initial engagement - high unlikely he wanted to press the attack. His car was found a half mile up the road with his dead ass in it. I will a phone call and see if I can get more detail. All I know is good guys 1, bad guys 0.
ReplyDeletei saw something different. it looked like the bad guy got the first shot off....but besides that ... you're mighty quick to defend .... i guess LEOs don't do lessons learned. fine. that just means more graves will be filled if all you guys can do is chest thump and tell each other what a great job you did.

I'm glad the cop is alive and the bad guy is dead - so what. And, yep we do lessons learned. Like I wrote earlier I intend to make a call and find out more details.
