  1. Why on earth would anyone bust their knees by going Down like they do at 2:12....

Why not put Down the free hand and support the transition from running to prone?

I used to teach these things myself and we avoided alot of injuries by teaching how to NOT hurt yourself and still be effective, resulting in a more combat efficient troop!

    1. dang. i didn't notice that. that's doing it old skool style. honestly they taught that waaay back but in the USMC you used your butt stock to brace the fall. now everyone is doing the Navy SEAL slide and what i call the butt dump....some stupid looking side body flop. its going to be interesting to see the injuries that come from the gear thats being worn now. there was a reason why chest rigs weren't popular with US forces for a long time. you can't go prone in it....not effectively anyway. a trained enemy is going to pop our forces in the grape everytime with all the shit being worn on the chest these days. everyone knows it too, but the military is being bought and sold bullshit by the firearms training and gear community.

    2. The focus seems to be on looking fance in the newest crap instead of looking at function of soldier versus functionality...

I have several solutions depending on the mission... warbelt + carrier for patrolling .. chestrig for vehicle OPS .. a vest with more room for extended patrolling!

but the failure to look at ergonomics will result in injuries!
