Hydroponics. The perfect interior garden process?

This is a different type of post so switch off if interior gardening doesn't float your boat.

For various reasons I've been looking at growing food indoors.  The reasons are irrelevant, the process is the issue.

Then something weird and wonderful happened.  A discussion popped up involving abuse of police power and one of the good LEO's (talking about you Tony!) mentioned in passing about hydroponic weed, and how it was much more powerful than your grandpa's stuff.

I didn't even know what that is, so off to google I went.  It seems that a side "problem" with legalization of marijuana is that the little bastards are getting creative.  They stumbled upon hydroponic gardening and suddenly they can increase and tailor the  plant to produce more of the stuff that gets you high.

That's the bad news.

The good news is that if I can get it right, I can do hydroponics to develop more potent fruit and vegetables that are "cleaner", tastier and more nutrient packed.

The search continues but I'm so jazzed about the idea that I had to pass it on.

  1. Use a search engine that doesn't record your IP address when researching hydroponics. Then pay cash for any supplies you want to buy. Simply doing a traceable google search followed by a credit card purchase has been enough in the past for the DEA to get a judge to sign off on a warrant. The war on (some) drugs has really killed the 4th Amendment.

    2. From what I know that is not true, but by the way you said that how would that violate the 4th Amendment? Your Google search is Google's property and any credit card transaction is owned by the credit card company. so unto themselves you have no standings, but other than the NSA do you think the DEA is checking all searches on the internet?

  2. Preparing for a failed state apocalypse I see. Are you by any chance a fan of AMC's The Walking Dead?

    1. lets not say failed state apocalypse. lets say that i see the frailties in the just in time method of feeding ourselves and realize that the more complex a system is the easier failure can occur.

i like TWD but usually set aside a weekend and watch the marathon. i still don't understand why they aren't filling pockets with 22cal rounds and loading mags with the same. killing zombies doesn't have to be as hard as they make it (at least in the universe they present it in)

  3. I have a hydroponic shop just up the street from my house. I quit smoking weed some 16 plus years ago, but even before that I used hydro to grow my own. Hydroponics when done right is a great means for producing your own veggies and what not.

    Yes.

You can also get yourself shot in the face. Purchasing the necessary equipment and using more electricy are reg flags for LE--and those two things alone are PC for a warrant.

    Be careful brother.
