SR-72 images.

Note:  I've said it once and I'll say it a thousand times.  Lockheed Martin needs to section off its other divisions from the F-35 debacle.  They obviously don't care, but the fallout from that program will lead to wailing and gnashing of teeth in the future and their products will face undue scrutiny due to the association with that airplane.  Meanwhile it looks like SkunkWork still works....for now.

  2. "The S-500 system is being developed under a unique design...and will be capable of destroying hypersonic and ballistic targets," the general said.

And all of a sudden the hypersonic bit makes sense.

  3. um, what do you think FUNDS Skunkworks?

If you segregate the R&D division from the rest of the company, then where will the money come from?

    1. the US govt funds huge portions of this work, but when i want the company segmented i mean stand alone at least in name. SkunkWorks a division of Lockheed Martin. Armored Vehicle Corporation a division of Lockheed Martin. its not hard and instead of saying Lockheed Skunkworks it'll simply be ... ACV instead of LM ground and missile.

      get it?

  5. During the late 1950's Cold War was at large, and USA was actively planning the construction of a top-secret aircraft that would soon replace the U-2. More interesting details & video about this aircraft can be found here: http://www.airforce-technology.com/features/feature-lockheed-martin-unveils-sr-72-successor-sr-71-spy-plane/
