The above photos are from Chinese Military Review.
Make note boys and girls. We're building LCS. They're building real frigates. Modern frigates that have guns, missiles, torpedoes and helicopters. We're building F-35 as a jobs program. They're building J-20's, another stealth fighter and buying up every piece of dual use western tech they can lay their hands on.
America is in decline.
Obama might have accelerated it, but he didn't start it. I think it all started with Clinton and NAFTA and every President since has been adding to that fateful decision.
Leadership is lucky. The average American is so caught up in what some no brain celebrity is doing to look around and see exactly how fucked up things are and where things are headed. Our only real hope isn't that China views us as an acceptable trading partner. Its that they might not get around to kicking our ass militarily until they have a go at Japan, S. Korea, Russia and others first.
Don't believe me? Check out the photo again. Research Chinese military writings. Read Chinese national papers ... Once you do you'll be punching walls too.

DeleteWith USSR dissolution West have lost a strong sparring partner, without worthy opponent there is no motivation do go forward in many areas. No point to have a large army. No point to pursue costly military programs. No point to conduct space exploration. No point to be biggest and baddest worldwide "police force". No point to make internet available for everyone everywhere for free.
ReplyDeleteHastily uplifted China could really save a day as a worthy USA opponent, pushing development of economy, science and military in both countries.
One would hope but I think it will take a rude shock to get the ball rolling again, like some disaster involving our allies or one of our ships
DeleteThey invest in shiny new military tech, we invest in shiny new obamafones.
ReplyDeleteCrap is it too late to get the Kidds back from Taiwan before they fold up? We're gonna need boats in a hurry once they start making moves
ReplyDeleteWhat do you know about China stuff really (in quality)?
ReplyDelete90% good is good enough. One should never let perfect become the enemy of good.

ReplyDeleteChina's first move will be to take Taiwan. With the spineless Locklear in command, it's unlikely the US will put up much protest let alone perform the actions required of the under the TRA. Once Taiwan falls, China will have free reign over the East China Sea. Much to the Sinophile's delight I am afraid this will be the China Century.
