  1. In some respects its interesting to see french equipment and personal gear that seems a bit like its form 80'-90's ,but nevertheless they seem to be quite effective with handling the natives.

I just love their armored cars with 90mm-105mm guns ,these migth be light weight and under armored form US perspective but they are proven time and again as the right tool for Africa.

    1. On the picture, you can see mied equipement :
      -OLD ERC-90.
-Old Famas F1, dirct from 70's. MAny troops operate them at least with a scope, or the FELIN version.
-OLD Uniform from Daguet operation ( Gulf WAR 1)
-NEw handgun holster, certainly personnal buy
-Afghanistan Body armor ( many troops seen with yougoslavia old armor, including the two KIA)
-Old Shoes, coming from the 50's
      -Helmet Vectra from 2000's

Troops in MALI were better equipped...

I would add you've better to be in AMX10RC than ERC90 when there is RPG around...

    2. True AMX 10 RC is quite close to armored protection off a Bradley or a Warrior but ERC is half the weight so able to cross most bridges.Logistic footprint of an ERC is just a bit larger than for an armored Hummvee but 90mm is gun is sure to make an impression in short order.

  2. Looks like the French Foreign Legion is busy again. If your looking for work, now is the time to see if you can sign on with the French Foreign Legion.
