  3. logistics support vessel is great for the era they were made in. I think the future model should be JHSV, MLP, SSC.

  4. Show my age, Our CARG went CONUS/CARB afloat, had a three ship group we did of LSD/LPD and one old bless her heart LST, common as dirt once this was one of last of the breed usty and sea stained, I don't recall a number and only a guess perhaps Frances Marion but don't hold me a purveyor of scuttlebutt should I be wrong. In and out faster than sloosh through a goose, drop the Panzers and Tracs Dozers and such and went back some other mission still underway elsewhere. The Docks and Platforms loitered a bit and vanished.
There we was, Red beach one Vieques PR, it was dusty, and it was hot. memory fades some but I know I head Gunny yelling :ALRIGHT GAWD AMIT OFF AND ON OFF AND ON, MOUNT UP GAWDAMMIT NOW MARINES. Ahhh the youth is wasted on the young Bullets, rockets MG's to shoot and a whole training Island to play in, OOHRRaa Ya gotta love it.
I feel honored to have seen one operating even though training.
