I can see this little jet if they build it right, can be a more modernized version of the A-37 Dragonfly, A-4 Skyhawk or the A-7 Corsair II. If they go any further, this could be a more modernized replacement for the A-10 As well.
I could see a scaled up version being a very effective CAS airplane. The current design already has a bomb bay and a limited level of stealth shaping - a scaled up version with better stealth treatments could potentially do CAS on a Day 1 fight against a peer or near-peer adversary. One can always dream I guess...
Given how much the F-35 costs, this little guy is probably all we can afford.
