This will make some interesting weekend watching. The Feds can't afford to blink can they? Can these militia groups? I am absolutely positive that all forms of communications have been compromised and a large number will probably be arrested for "traffic" offenses en-route....but for those that make it there.
Will they actually nut up and go against Federal Law Enforcement? We'll see.

either way this if their is a ruckus, this is going to be interesting to watch. i've seen a couple of the militias. one was rock solid. i'm talking about these guys getting together and PT'ing everyday, went to the range every weekend, had the gear, practiced with it and they stalked wild game to prepare for men and 95% of the membership was former military.
i've seen others where all they do is drink beer, tell lies and show each other what they got at the mall.
the interesting thing about the different groups is that the real hardcore guys just wanted to protect home if shit kicked off. they weren't talking about a revolution.
i wonder if these guys can even stand the desert in full gear....how many of them PT...how many of them actual use the gear.
I don't know if you've seen this, Sol, but some people in the militia are saying that the driving force behind the feds is a movement by military contractors to seize resource on that land. Apparently that land has a lot of minerals that can be used for the production of weapons along with an oil pipeline and some in the militia are saying that this is actually a military contractors leveraging political power to get to it:

I'd disagree on DHS. The one I met knew I wanted better training than I had available to me and showed me the schools they get to go through pretty much whenever they want and it beats out anything that gets funded for locals of any type. By what I'm reading the FBI and BLM are already there as security for the contractors, but I bet DHS is being mobilized after the reports of up to a few hundred militia members heading that way.

Like I posted earlier about weakness being a moral strength, people with cameras and signs getting beat down/maced/tasered generates far more sympathy and interest than pot-bellied wannabes with ARs ever would.
Apart from those minorities on either side who are paying attention, I think the "rest of the country" is going to be scratching their heads because they don't know the story. They probably can't find Nevada on a map, will see the corporate media spin the story about chaos/law breaking/violence, shrug, then turn back to their shitty day jobs.

ReplyDeleteLately I have started looking at US forces CONUS as suspect and possible enemies of mine from their point of view.
I know from experience that US forces if ordered to will fire upon American citizens, I hope that will only happen once before the US military remembers it's their father's, mothers grandparents, brothers and sisters they are shooting then turns their weapons on their Officers (remember the old anti war folks who said they would support the military when they shot their Officers?) and the civilian leaders who order the crack down and suppression of constitutional partisans.
I'd rather have an election in peace without any possibility of fraud, or an impeachment by law, I'd go with dissolution of the Union and secession of those states that wish to secede.
BUT, If they must have a war.......let it start there.

thats not fair John. many are asking that same question. i have faith in the Marines but i do know that National Guard units have fired on citizens during Katrina and under the circumstances that are being talked about citizens will be described as armed rioters. so the possibility exists.

As for Nation Guard units, they are a mixed bag, but in Katrina you did have armed rioters, who we're looting and shooting. My statement wasn't unfair, i think I put it pretty well and to the point, i could of been graphic and said something off the wall but i didnt need to.
I'll end in this, I do believe alot of times that Law Enforcement can go to far, that its over militarized and needs to really have a reality check sometimes, but then i see shit like this and we wonder why Law Enforcement is doing that.
Then again Obama may just call in the U. N. Blue helmets to stop his enemies.

DeleteI have said to someone at work (to their annoyance): "If the Feds were Israeli and the rancher was Arab this wouldn't make the news." If these guys(militia) did something they would be treated like the hezbollah terrorist group by our government. No I don't support terrorist organizations but I don't support governments taking land from people just because they feel they can do better with the land either. Somewhere I think a corporation is salivating at getting this land.

I think the Feds are being viewed as wanting a stand up fight, but i doubt they really want it. Like today a bunch of people are saying they've deployed snipers, well i would too if some "Militia" is off saying its going to attack my people.
