English Russia posted these pics of Russian armor on the move (tons of pics too, you should check it out) thru Moscow. I wonder what the deal is? From some of the pics it looks like a morning movement (to avoid traffic?) but the sheer size of it is alarming. Are things finally going to cook off in Ukraine?

that looks bigger than a battalion sized movement (USMC). i'd be willing to bet we're looking at a divisions worth of armor on the move. something is up.

This photos was made in Moscow. They has no connection with Ukraine in any chance. What can spook them? Two Tu-95 in Baltic sea. Spy plane near borders of Belorussia and EU-union. And so on...

get out of your normalcy bias. things aren't normal and probably won't be for awhile. all govts keep information away from the public so you have to start looking for tidbits of it wher e ever you can find it. thats why English Russia and Russia Today and others are so valuable. its probably propaganda but understanding what THEY WANT YOU TO KNOW is also telling.
I think we have enough forces in that region already, no need to move them from Moscow. Same preparations was before last year parade, even with bunch of "Topol-M". Was it cover up movement to the borders?

They also said their troops stationed at the East Ukraine border were there for military exercises. Turns out it was later said they were ready to strike Ukraine if they attacked pro-russian forces. Nothing stops the troops at this Parade from being redirected to the border.
Sol is right. Ukraine's military is also on alert and expecting an attack from Russian forces.
A May 9th parade would be the perfect propaganda/muscle flexing display as the Russians celebrate the victory over fascism, allowing them to insinuate the Ukrainians in Kiev are betraying this victory by allowing neo-fascists to come to power.

DeleteNot necessarily same place or date. Regardless, Sol's point stands. The Russians are moving serious gear. And IMHO moving lotsa gear for "May Day" parades would be a perfect cover for positioning additional troops to invade.
DeleteThe parade is well known, I think the Americans even showed up last year, plus they do a practice every year for it. If you look at the photos you'll notice that the ICBM is passing through the same area as the rest of the vehicles and you can see the BTRs behind it.

I'll show my age here, back during the Cuban missile crisis we would have our little town streets blocked while miles long convoys of troops, tanks, trucks with all the assets rolled through our towns, at night, in the a.m. going north to south, west to east moving military equipment from bases to airstrips.
ReplyDeleteBeing a child I was impressed, Dad worked for an aircraft manufacturing plant that built air lifters and the concern in his eyes was scary.
I never saw it before and never saw it again, like moving chess pieces around to avoid targeting and reposition for an air lift type mount out.
Could be just a parade to show might or buck up the civies or......something could be blowing in the wind and it may not be blowing to the Ukraine.
