Rokestan. Turkish missile builder you should keep an eye on...

SOM-J

CIRIT

Read about these new missiles over at Military Technology Blog.  Personally I'm going to keep an eye on Rokestan.  Even if they can't penetrate Western Markets its a sure thing that their missiles will be turning up around the world...

  1. If & when they get UAI for this thing it will open up a very large market (ALL Block 40/50 F-16s, ALL F-15E varients, ALL F-35s, etc)

  2. Compare the SOM-J to the South African TORGOS cruise missile:

I know a couple of the engineers from the latter project went to Turkey some years ago. The physical similarities - plus range, sensors, etc. - are very interesting.

  3. on an interesting thought......current MTCR or missile technology control regime will seriously have to rethink their legalese in the face of more missiles turinign out to be UAV's and more UAV's turning out to be missile uitility vehicles.

    1. Also note....most of these new missiles/UAV's being designed to destroy high value targets. The same high value targets that get to decide any nations/armies destiny. The same people most effected by MTCR or any international sanctions.
