  1. I hope you are correct. I've followed his performance in Afghanistan and it's not encouraging. We'll see, won't we.

    1. Until proven otherwise, I distrust all generals because I sort of know how they got where they are.

    2. he's the man that told the truth and stood up for Marines when Amos wanted them crushed. additionally he didn't fall in line and spout the company line when an investigation was launched.

    3. On the other hand, Dunford can follow orders that don't make sense.

I don't say he won't work out, I'm just more cautious than you, and I've observed a lot of generals (from afar).
      Regarding caution, it's b/c I'm older than you. :-)

  3. Have to give the studio photographer a kick in the ass. He looks like sad-kitty.

  4. He just learned that he was due to come back to the Puzzle Palace. Why me?
Looking at his bio, he does have courage. Graduated from Boston College high school and then later served as instructor at Holy Cross. It was all downhill from there.

  5. Still having trouble handling the facts Sol'? Here let me point them out again:

Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr. comments regarding the F-35B Lightning II: “For the first time in aviation history, the most lethal characteristics – supersonic speed, radar-evading stealth, extreme agility, and short takeoff vertical landing capability – have been combined in a single platform"

    &

"It's innovation like that represented here today which has kept Marine aviation ready and relevant for the last 100 years".

This time I will also add a couple of photos…be good and make them your next computer wallpaper and screensaver won't you:
