  1. The Profile of that Kamov Helicoptor is very Sleek. I have heard from an Airforce aquaintance who was fortunate to test pilot a Kamov that the twin rotor Kamov is a lot easy to pilot by getting rid of that rear counter torque maitaning tail rotor. India had evaluated these along with the Mangusta and Eurocoptor Tiger, but selected the Apache as its next attack chopper.

    1. Ka-52 have one serious flaw, to accommodate two crew members they need to resign from heavy armored "cocoon" that protect pilot in Ka-50. Also what is obvious flight parameters have deteriorated. But that's pretty normal when you take one design and try to remodel it for other role. Ka-52 is good machine but it's only an ad hoc modification of superior Ka-50.

  2. Kamov's are indeed easier to fly and to learn to fly.

Sorry but Ka-52 was never in that competition. you're thinking of Mi-28NE

"There was a time, he said, “when the Black Shark (Ka-50) was the most advanced helicopter and now the Ka-52 in its present configuration is the best to solve all combat tasks.” Mikeev added that the attack helicopter had capacity for future development. He said that he held in high esteem Boeing’s Apache AH-64 attack helicopter, but noted that the Ka-52 had not entered the recent Indian competition – hinting that the end result might have been different. He added that his company still has “good plans” for India."

Anyway, the Ka-52K and Ka-52M willl be fucking monsters.
